Although Esther has been saying Mama since she was about 7 months old, I don't really count that because I don't know if she really has known what that means when she says it.
But today she really did say her first word (meaning she used her cognitive thought processes to call something by its name), while also pointing at it (which she learned yesterday).
She pointed to the light and said "LIGHT"! What a great first word for our little Beloved of God!
(the photo is from yesterday, but she said it clearly for the first time today).
