Today we went to the hospital to have Esther's lungs x-rayed as a part of her regular check-up. She didn't particularly like me holding her arms pinned to the table above her head. But she really liked the children's waiting room. As soon as we got in there she marched over to another little girl her age and touched her hard enough to knock her over, poor thing. I just think Esther was excited to see someone her size.
She had a blast while we were in the Doctor's office. She walked around in circles holding a pink teddy bear and squealing, "Nej! No! Yesssss! doobla doobla doo!" for the entire 20 minutes we were there. So yes, the doctor gave her a clean bill of health. She is very advanced in her motor skills and speaking skills and social skills and she doesn't need any fattening up, according to the doctor.
Now Esther walks pretty much all the time instead of crawling, and she thinks she is hot stuff.

is that an IKEA shelf in the background where all her toys are? is it strong? do you like it? we need shelves in our home and I'm considering ones from IKEA. what do you suggest?
