My first celebrated Mother's Day

It was my first Swedish mother's day today! Last year on Mother's Day we had found out about Esther but still had not left for South Africa, so it was a little bit too surreal to celebrate.

And on this exact date a year ago we were on an incredible safari, two days before meeting Esther!

Time flies.

Today my husband made me chocolate cupcakes with vanilla ice cream for breakfast (good man), and Esther got to taste some.

Here is our first mother-daughter Mother's Day photo (this was the only good one of about 30 - ahhhhhh, one and a half year-olds).

Although, this one is kind of funny. I just had to throw a goofy one in there.
