Overheard on Tarragon Street

At Esther's 2.5 year old "well" check-up, the nurse pointed to a toy dog and asked her to tell her what it was. Esther refused to answer, so I thought 'Well, this is going to turn out just great.'

Instead Esther pointed to the toy cow and said, "There is da mamma cow's udder, and da baby cows drink da milk from it."

So, I figure she passed the vocab test.

(the nurse also asked her to scribble something on the paper, and Esther promptly traced her whole hand quite neatly, pointed to it and said, "Esther has such pretty fingers.")
