Christmas concert

Sorry about not blogging for awhile...I was going to wait for some photographs that I could put up with the posts, but I may as well go ahead and write!

This past Sunday our church put on a Christmas concert as an outreach to people in the community. The decor on stage was really cool. They brought in actual birch trees and covered the stage floor with cotton stuff and covered the walls with white lights so it looked like a rustic winter wonderland. The God's Super School kids dressed up as angels or wisemen (complete with moustache and goatee) and Mary and Joseph and sang some songs. They did REALLY well and impressed everybody! The kids who were ten got their own Bible and I wrote two Bible verses in each of the Bibles, just for that kid. I didn't really see the rest of the concert because I was helping them get in and out of their clothes, but I heard it went really well. Niklas spoke for about 7 minutes about Christmas and about the gospel in a way everyone could understand. So we are praying that fruit will come from that!

These past few days since then I have been Christmas shopping and present wrapping since we go to the island this weekend to celebrate Christmas before leaving for the US on Monday. We have a layover in ICELAND of all places!

I bet the Super School kids were adorable! I will pray for the impact of the service!

And have a safe trip! Enjoy Iceland! That is a funny place for a layover.
