Thanks for the links. ABBA has changed their web page a lot since I saw it last. I read their newsletters, and was encouraged that they seem to be doing a lot more post adoption services. I also noticed that they are doing some workshops with more exploration of the potential challanges for a Black adoptee in a mostly white community. That's great!
If you are looking for blog topics at all, I'd love to read about what kind of support you might have available as an adoptive family. Do adoptive families in Sweden (or those with South African children) tend to "stick together" at all, or?? Do you know many families with kids from SA? How did you decide to adopt from SA?
You probably just went through all the same questions for your home study! I understand if you are burned out on adoption related stuff!
I'm just curious how being an adoptive family in Sweden might be the same or different from being an adoptive family in the US.
