Yesterday was the first day of school for me since November. I am studying something called "Molecular Medicine", which certainly does sound scary but which I really think I will enjoy. I am praying that God uses this course to give me some indication of which direction I should take my studies after this subject, and in which way to specialize my skills/knowledge in preparation for a future career.
Last weekend was the start of God's Super School, complete with a wild water balloon fight and a cake with chocolate frosting, whipped cream and cat food (I was making a deep theological point). We also learned about what yeast does and how we are to be yeast in our classrooms. Mostly we played and raced and had a wonderful time on the first day since late July that the weather was decent enough to be outside (THANK YOU LORD).
Niklas has started working full-time at the school now, and he has a good group of students this year. He loves his job and is thankful that it worked out for him to work full-time (it will boost our finances these months of saving all our money). He will also teach at the Bible school in Lund several times this term. Otherwise he is busy with church stuff and taught last week on discovering the spiritual gifts that God has given each of us.
And last but not least, God has done an amazing miracle, and given us an incredible answer to prayer. Instead of waiting until possibly mid-October or later to start our home study (the next step in the adoption process), we received a letter yesterday saying that they would come to our home ON FRIDAY! Now THAT is the most concrete answer to prayer that I have had personally in a long while, and I am MEGA thankful.
So, today will be spent cleaning up a bit (or a lot, relatively speaking) and getting ready for our talk with the 2 social workers who will come and investigate our apartment and interview (I mean interrogate) us.
I will be sure to blog about it after they have gone, given that I haven't fainted in a crumpled heap at their feet the moment they walk in. :o)

Katie, you and Niklas are going to be great parents and I know that you'll do a great job at your pre-adoption interrogation.
Just don't get all sit-com and overdo it--it makes for great TV ratings, but that doesn't exactly apply in your case.
;)
You're in my prayers always! Keep us posted on the progress of bringing home your little one!
