Here in Sweden the BIG day is today, Christmas Eve!
GOD JUL! ("Merry Christmas")
Some of the Swedish traditions:
--We ate classic rice porridge for breakfast.
--At 3 pm we will watch a Disney Christmas special on TV that nearly every Swede in the whole country watches every year.
--Afterwards we will eat from the "Christmas table", a veritable "smorgasbord" / buffet where nearly everyone in Sweden eats the same items every year. My favorites are the Christmas ham and potato salad; Niklas likes the raw herring and spare ribs.
--After dinner some of Niklas' extended family will come over and then someone dressed as Santa Claus will come by with a big red sack containing everyone's presents.
--Then, of course, everyone but KT will drink coffee and eat gingerbread cookies and "lussekatter".
I wish I had a picture of what the weather is like here (on the island), because for the first time in several months the sun is shining with all its might, the ocean is still and calm and the views on our walks and from the picture windows here are just spectacular. It is invigorating!

God Jul!!!!!!!!
Sounds really nice. Merry Christmas!
why do you have labels at the end of your blog notes?? from a non-blogger whose initials are ejdb
It's the beta version of Blogger, so later on as these posts add up and you want to find all the posts about a particular topic, like say Christmas, then you will be able to type in Christmas and pull up all the posts that have anything to do with Christmas!
