We are continuing to enjoy our "dream vacation" at the "Lorentzon Oceanside Resort".
Today we had brunch out on the back deck and watched the sailboats glide by (it is sunny but windy).
Later today we will go to Niklas' grandma's birthday party (she is turning 90). Niklas' other grandma is 92! I guess growing up on an island is good for long life expectancy, because both of them have lived on the island all their life.

Perhaps it also shows the advantages of having kids when you are older. Niklas' grandmas are much older than my own... how old were they when they had children? How old are Niklas' parents?
I'm so glad you're enjoying your summer! It does sound nice and relaxing. Wow...this is likely to be your last non-parent vacation! Before long you'll be planning things like trips to...um...what is like Disney World to you Swedish folk? Anyway, yeah, glad you're enjoying yourself!!!!!
Niklas' grandma on her mom's side is so old because she had Niklas' mom when she was older, but Niklas' mom has sisters who are 17 and 12 years older.
Niklas' other grandma is so old for kind of the same reasons as above (Börje has 2 older siblings).
They worked hard all their lives and ate fish and in some cases potatoes to nearly every meal.
Nice blog. I love South-Africa!
does long-life expectancy work if you eat birthday cake and oreo cake and brownies all your life? i want to find the place where THAT happens!
My "Memaw" turned 90 this year, too! She was raised working hard and eating meat and potatoes. Never drank or smoked. Got married and had kids late. And has lived in this area (born in Buena Vista) her whole life.
