awwwww.. I like that picture of niklas and Vernon with their walking sticks!!!
it's so awesome what you guys are doing for/with Vernon! he must be one of the luckiest kids in the world to have you guys as his sort of "foster parents". The only luckier kid is your long-awaited-for beautiful angel in South Africa.
Looks like you are truly making the most of this waiting time. God is so good to be giving you some practice!
