Here in the Lorentzon household, where every penny/öre is saved toward adoption and the trip to South Africa, it is a REALLY BIG DEAL when we make any kind of purchase that is not food or a hygiene product. (Last week we actually bought...drumroll...new jeans for Niklas and a winter coat for Katie!!!)
What we have REALLY needed for a long time is a new sofa, because ours is
a) 10 years old
b) drooled on
c) peed on
d) lumpy - VERY lumpy
and
e) faded from the sun.
On Friday we found a great couch at a fancy furniture store (not IKEA) that we both really liked AND it was on sale! But it was still more expensive than our "sofa budget". But I felt like I would regret it if we didn't buy it because it was exactly what we both wanted. I biked back to the store on Saturday and talked to an employee about it, and she gave it to me for half off the sale price! Which means that it was a VERY good price for a brand new fancy modern sofa.
And we are so happy with it!

Even though it isn't IKEA, it has a very IKEA-like look to it. Nice, nice,nice!
yeah... that's a nice couch... it looks very comfy/cozy...
this time around though, don't let Niklas sleep there at night so that he doesn't urinate on it in the night, eh?
Looks comfy! I'm sure it will be great for naps and movie watching. And also for snuggling with your coming son or daughter!
