Merry Christmas EVE!

Here in Scandinavia, THE day for all of the festivities is December 24th.

First we had a wonderful Christmas Eve brunch with rice porridge, then watched a Disney Christmas show that everyone in all of Sweden watches, and then had Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet, with about 30 different items. This year I tried (and liked) reindeer meat.

Then it was time to open all of our Christmas gifts. This year it was just the six of us, which was nice because we could take time for each person to open their gifts one by one.

We received a lot of great stuff, like a toaster, gift certificates, a chocolate fondue maker, an electric screwdriver, a board game, a Swivel Sweeper and some cute things for LL. We were also blessed with an enormous financial gift from Niklas' parents.

We gave Niklas' parents a new TV and home theater system, which they totally weren't expecting! It was fun to set it up later in the evening and then watch a Christmas concert with surround sound.

The weather outside is frightful, but we have had a lovely time inside! The best Christmas in Sweden so far!

I am so very glad to hear that. That has been my prayer all along. That this would be one of the best Christmases you've had together.

Merry Christmas to you, too!
