We haven't blogged for awhile because we have been having a hard time adjusting!
Jetlag hit all of us really hard two days after we got back, and Esther has especially been...just not herself.
We have enjoyed seeing everyone again! The first thing people notice about the older Esther is her teeth and her hair. Now she has 3 teeth where before she had none, and her hair has really come in more than it had before. She has been a bit confused about everyone speaking a different language and doesn't babble quite as much, except when she is at home.
So, we are working on new routines and getting caught up on sleep so that she can get back to being herself again!
We went for her 12 month check up yesterday. She had gotten 10 cm taller and 1 kg heavier, which seems to mean we need to fatten her up! The past few days she has been eating salmon, which makes her Pappa very happy.
We also went to a playdate with some other adopted kids (from Ethiopia, India, Colombia, and China) and Esther really liked that, since even there she was once again the center of attention, this time for being the youngest.
Here Esther is helping Pappa do the dishes (he must have missed a spot).
Here Esther almost got lost in all the bath bubbles!

Glad to see you guys are safely back home. Wow! Has Esther grown! 10 centimeters?! Crazy!
I'm glad you guys got back safely!!! I hope you recover from jetlag soon! Is it always worse going east than west?
Glad to see you all are safely home! My jet-lag coming home from China was terrible!!! It took me over a week to get on a normal schedule!! I love the picture of her in the bath-tub. I'm also glad to hear that you all have group of adoptive families nearby - we love getting together with other families in our area!
