A looong trip for a 2 year-old - and her Mamma

This photo was taken after a looooong trip across the ocean to get to Nai Nai and Grandpa's house.

We had quite the adventure, Esther and I, as we first took the car, then the train, then a plane, then a layover, then a plane again, and then a car, to get to our final destination. Esther did REALLY well, even though it was exhausting - mostly for me! And to top it off our luggage didn't make it until the following evening.

One thing that I hadn't realized is just how messy a 2 year-old in a confined space for 9 hours can be! WOW! Wouldn't want to be the person who cleaned up after us on that flight!

She was SOOOOOO happy and excited to see Nai Nai and Grandpa at the airport - it was precious.

The absolute highlights for Esther were the escalators in the airport (which caused a few minor meltdowns when I had to tell her that was enough) and the ice cubes in the drinks on the plane.

I am proud of her! (but still not exactly looking forward to doing the same thing in another week - help!)
