Turning 5 on Tuesday!

We continue to take care of Vernon one afternoon/night a week and one weekend a month.
We have one month left of a six-month contract.
These past two months we have really seen great improvements in Vernon!
I think it is both because he is getting older (and his language skills have developed) and because we have all gotten to know each other better.
These past few days have really been the best experience thus far (much more affection and better tone of voice), and have made me wonder if maybe we should extend our contract, mostly for his sake but also for ours.
It has really been a tough adventure that has taught us a lot of things, as well as been a positive challenge for our communication skills.
