Introducing Sylvia Shamiso Lorentzon!

At 9:18 this morning, in the Alberton Court just outside of Johannesburg, South Africa, we officially became Sylvia's Forever Family.

Sylvia is a beautiful, special little girl from Zimbabwe. Her birth mother gave her the name Sylvia, and we are going to keep that name and call her that as well.

Just as in Esther's case, we are going to give Sylvia a middle name in the language of the tribe she comes from. She is from the Shona tribe in Zimbabwe, and we are going to give her the middle name "Shamiso".

"Shamiso" is the Shona word for "miracle". Sylvia's one year of life has been full of hardships, yes, but more importantly, God has done many miracles in her life already.

We are proud of her, proud of what she has done in us and through us, and excited to see what other miracles her life will hold.
