Two Months Together + Five Firsts

Sylvia has been in our family for 2 months now!
She picked a good day for five firsts:

She slept the entire night last night!!! We are hoping that wasn't just a random thing. Otherwise she has always woken up twice each night for a bottle, without fail. We're not sure what the reason for uninterrupted sleep is, but maybe because it isn't as hot as it's been all summer, who knows.

She has finally started putting small pieces of food into her mouth. She has been able to hold a whole cookie or piece of bread before and bring it to her mouth to bite it, but today was the first day she picked up small pieces of bread from the table and put them into her mouth.

During mealtimes today, she finally opened up her mouth big enough for me to get the whole spoon in there. Before now, she has always barely opened up her lips for feeding, resulting in messes and really long feeding sessions!

This was the first day Sylvia wore shoes!

She babbled babbled babbled nonstop all day for the first time, making all kinds of noises that she hadn't made before. With a talkative 2 year-old and now a constantly babbling one year-old, I think I might need padded walls for when I want to bang my head up against them. (joking - kind of)
