Sylvia Lately

Sylvia is taking leaps and bounds in her development lately.

First of all, she talks (babbles) NONSTOP. I thought I already had one child who is a talker; turns out I have two. From the moment she wakes up in the morning, she babbles babbles babbles about anything and everything, in her own language that she seems to understand perfectly.

Otherwise, she says "Mamma", "Pappa", "Titta", "Apple" and "Bye-bye" and "NOOOOOOOOOO!".

She prefers to sign certain things like "More" and "Hungry".

She is very alert and observant, eager to mimic all hand motions and dance moves and sounds. (The girl's got some serious rhythm).

She is finally starting to walk instead of crawl a lot more, and has at the most taken between 15-20 steps at a time. She is still wobbly, but she'll get past that. She is into CLIMBING anything and everything, especially stairs and chairs and sofas.

She LOVES LOVES LOVES people and - which I never thought would be possible - even takes some of the spotlight off Esther when she is around, and is quite good at getting and holding people's attention with her charm and shenanigans.

She has a quirky personality and will purposefully do things that we think are silly, just because she knows we will laugh at her.

So I have two chatterboxes and two goofballs, who would have thought?!?! :o)

This last photo is SOOOOOOOOO typical Sylvia:

I really thought Sylvia was going to turn out to be the quiet observer. Oh well, doesn't matter. She's adorable no matter what.
