Today we had the major mega interview with the Social Workers. It was a quite a big step in the whole adoption process, so we are steadily getting closer and closer to our goal!
We were interviewed separately, and the social workers had an 18 page interview that they asked us questions from, and they would take notes as we spoke, not writing down everything but just the key stuff.
First they asked about parents and siblings and about childhood and stuff like that. That took about an hour...I was free to talk as much or as little as I wanted to. She was very nice and would say things like, I know exactly what you mean, and stuff like that. In that sense I didn't feel like I was being interrogated, but more like she just wanted to find out more about me and discussed some things with me that I said.
They asked about our marriage relationship, including some embarrassing questions, but we handled it well! They asked about our faith and about how we would raise children and all kinds of things like that.
It took 3 hours instead of 4, with a "fika break" in the middle. It was a nice experience and although I would rather express myself in writing, I thought I did pretty well.
Hooray! It's getting closer for every day!

I was listening to the radio and I heard something on Madonna adopting. Aparently she didn't go through the normal process and practically "bought" the child. It made me a little upset or should I say envious.
Thanks for the update!
I heard about Madonna, too. Some ppl are pretty upset.
Anyway, KT--I'm so glad your interview went well (and that it's OVER!). Congrats on surviving and on being one step closer to being parents!
Praying :)
