Rainy Days and Getting Stuck

It was a chilly, windy and drizzly day today, so both of us spent pretty much all day inside on the computer (good thing we have 2 at home right now). Niklas is putting the finishing touches on his new book and I got inspired to put together a webpage full of resources for families adopting from South Africa. I figure with all the time I have spent gathering knowledge on that particular topic, I could share it with others.

Yesterday we biked(KT) and rollerbladed(Niklas) to Lund, had a great kebab pizza, found an excellent frisbee at the thrift store, and then it rained on us on the way back.

As if that weren't enough, we went out to play frisbee some time after that, and I (not being used to such a great quality frisbee) proceeded to throw the frisbee up onto the roof of the garage building. Not thinking clearly, I climbed onto Niklas' back to get up to retrieve it, not having thought about how I would get down. We seriously were discussing every possible alternative for my descent for about 15 minutes. Who knows what the neighbors must have thought.

Finally I walked all the way across the long garage building to find that the far edge would be more practical to hang off of, after which I would have to trust Niklas to "catch" me as I slid off, by that time completely covered in wet dirt. It was quite an adventure.

So, suffice it to say that today was much quieter. We have both been very productive and have great stuff to show for it!

I am not at all finished with the new blog, and it is entirely in Swedish, but you can take a look if you want to!

Hahahahahaha that would have been hilarious to see! That's so cool that you went to Lund and found a great frisbee! Did you see Patrik? :) I'm glad today was a little calmer!

why didn't Niklas go on the roof?

I would have liked to seen you on the roof looking all perplexed. Imagination can only go so far. But, what little of the picture I did imagine made me laugh.

I have experienced a moment of perplexion with KT and Niklas... it involved a car tire on the way to Dyron... air was coming out of it and they were both perplexed by it for quite a few minutes... and I won't tell the rest of the story because then I would be boasting about my ingenious, tire knowledge. Anyhow.. my point is... I can imagine that if it was anything like that moment... it was calm, and rather... funny (from an outsiders point of view).

I'm glad everyone thought that was so funny!

At the moment it happened, I wasn't thinking "Oh, I wonder if this will bring a smile to the faces of everyone in blogland! I sure hope so!"

And Niklas didn't get on the roof because I would never have been able to have him stand on my back.

Niklas--did you take any pictures?

Jason would have taken pictures and bargained with me about who was going to do the dishes and the laundry--while I was stuck and knowing that he was really my only hope for getting down...LOL

Sounds like a great memory!
